Yes, l had itching trunk to face. Flushing, not hot flashes!
I was told before NETS. Diagnosis it was allergy, take zyrtec.
Now l know it's part of NET's, Syndrome, followed by G.I. distress, spasms. I was advised to get a better NETS group to follow my case. How is your bloodwork, iron level, and R BC level? Area's l have been watched over past 2 years.
Endocrinologist might help too, make sure your thyroid is ok. Mine they found nodules, slight elevation. Boy, we do need a team to follow-up! Blessings, on your journey!
Thank you for your input. Best of luck to you!
Itching is a common symptom of lupus which is a part of MCTD. The inflammation increase during a flare can release histamine like in allergic reactions. Antihistamines can help as well as antiinflammatory meds. I would try generic Allegra, (fexofenadine) and if insufficient try an H2 blocker like Famotidine ( generic Pepcid) along with the H1 blocker. They seem to act synergistically.
Thank you for your feedback!
I have good luck with famotidine for multiple things: GERD while also having hyperparathyroidism (Avoid PPIs. They'll make HPT and bone loss worse.), pruritus, hives...
