It’s amazing the emotions and fatigue after dealing with waiting on results and making decisions! The mammo on Thursday was inconclusive on the Birads 3 they were watching, but MRI on Friday determined it was a 2. So good news, but I was so tired I was kind of numb.
The plastic surgeon (Wednesday’s appt) scheduled a follow up surgery for this summer to make adjustments on my breasts. I had a tough time trying to decide if I wanted to go through with this as it’s mostly cosmetic. But is is a very simple surgery so I probably will.
It looks like the seroma I have - inside behind the north side of the left nipple, will either get absorbed/collapse and cause the breast to be smaller than it already is, or harden over time. My right breast, DCIS side, is already larger (left is a C cup, right is at least a D). The surgeon is willing to take some tissue out along the right inframammary scar, and then also make small changes at the left nipple. At this point I told him to go ahead and put the surgery on the schedule, he agreed that I could cancel if I change my mind.
