I too experience muscle spasms that vary from being in my feet, or ankles, and boy do they hurt.
The other nite I had one in my big toe of my right foot.
It lasted from 5:45 pm to the next morning.
I tried pain meds, CBD ointment, ice pack and massaging it.
Nothing helped the spasms go away.
I must’ve finally fallen asleep sometime around 4:30 am.
When I woke up at around 9:00am, the pain was gone.
Same happened again prior to that occurrence, but this time it was in my left ankle area.
Again it lasted 10 hrs, and I was unable to fall asleep
Again I tried everything I could think of including Tramadol and nothing worked.
When it goes away, I’m finally able to get some sleep.
These spasms come on without warning, last a really longtime and make me want to jump out a window.
They’re no fun at all, and I never know where they’ll start and how long they’ll last.

You may want to try Calm magnesium before bedtime and drink a good amount of water throughout the day to see if that can help prevent or reduce the severity of cramps at nighttime so you can sleep better.

Gabapentin 300mg has been my lifesaver. I take it only when necessary and right now I’m pain free since the initial episode. I’m hoping it doesn’t return

I can enpathise with you Motown. There are nights when my one leg start jumping and will not lie still no matter what I do. Or electrical shock feelin in my ankles. Like yo, I am awake until the early hours of the next morning. It is a rial and I do try to offer it up with Christ's suffering but still pray that it would go away so that I can get some sleep.
