Finished treatment. Ok to get Covid booster now?
Finished proton treatment 5 weeks ago, scheduled for follow up PSA test in about 7 weeks. Have plans for cruise two weeks from today. Is it ok to take Covid booster now? Have call in to physician but interested in experience, pros/cons. Have not had any Covid boosters in two years.
Thanks

2 ReactionsThanks, will do.
My husband's Mayo doctors said that he should get all of his vaccinations during radiation and ablation, and now during Pluvicto treatment. We asked specifically about covid-19, RSV, and flu vaccinations, and were encouraged that he should stay current on all vaccines recommended for him. He has gotten all of them without any side effects except a sore arm.

5 Reactionsmerwether,
See Colleen has already answered. I was advise the same to keep current on vaccination and COVID.
I see you are planning a cruise. Way to go!! I hope you have a great time. Just practice good hygene and stay away from anyone coughing and sneezing. To let you know I got the COVID (NEW COMBO) during the time I was taking treatments at UFHPTI.
