Headaches, headaches, headaches
Anyone else tortured by headaches? I used to get LC headaches daily, but they were somewhat manageable. Sometimes, I’d get a really serious one, but it was occasional. In the last month, I’ve had periods of no headaches at all and then maybe a really bad one and no headaches again. This week, starting on Tuesday, I wake up every single morning between 2 and 4 with a headache so intense, I must get up and use a shot of sumatriptan (and sometimes a Valium). Every. Single. Day. Including today. I am a lifelong migraineur, but this is different. Any other similar experiences? I can feel the sense of out of control, can’t make plans helplessness starting to descend on me.

Hello @barbarabell, I have only had a few bad headaches so it's hard to imagine how bad it must be to have them every day. There is another discussion you might find helpful while you wait for others with experience to respond.

Have you talked to your doctor to see if they may have some suggestions?
I’ve also had headaches with LC. I’m m taking LDN now and for a few days they seemed to go away. but came back again. Occasionally I’ll get a more severe one but usually Tylenol will take the edge off. I’m sorry yours are so severe every day. What a nightmare.
I also get horrible body pain- from the tip of my head to my toes- almost every night. It wakes me around 2am and keeps me awake the rest of the night. I wonder if the cause is linked to headaches as well. Not that the medical community has the answer yet. Maybe LDN will help reduce the severity of the pain? I’ve been on it 2 months and the doc said it could take 6 months. I do think it’s helped with the horrible head rumblings and vibrations I’ve been getting daily for 2 years.
I hope they get better for you.
I've had migraines every day since I got original variant in March of '20. Have had to up migraine med for acute episodes and neurologist added a daily preventative med, as well. while often debilitating, not as concerning as blood disorder and 50% reduction in cardiac and pulmonary function. :/ Good luck.
I suffer from LC headaches, as well. I understand and relate to being woken up from my head throbbing so intensely I can’t go back to sleep and I get nauseous. I’ll be seeing a new care provider next month, hoping they’ll be able to help. I hope you find relief.
Please share the 2 medications you are on for migraines. I finally had to do botox but I still need something more because I am still having daily severe headaches
zolmitriptan for acute.
topamax for preventative, although just started the latter and can't say I love how it makes me feel otherwise. maybe I'll adapt.
