Hi @sab53, while it's not 100% resolved, symptoms are very mild and manageable through continued Buteyko breathing exercises, weight lifting, daily walking with nasal breathing, and a better diet. It's take a while to get here, but I am able to do 98% of things I've always done. The things I'm not able to do are really intense exercise, or long hikes in mountains. Other than that, I can lead a normal life without much symptoms.

How long have you had your symptoms and is it just the air hunger or do you deal with other issues as well?

Hi Gabe,
Thanks for the quick response.
I'm happy to hear you're doing better.
The symptoms started 2 years ago but got worse after I had covid last year. Did pulmonary function tests, thoracic ultrasound, X-ray and heart tests, including under effort. Everything is normal. I do developed gastric reflux recently, though. I know it may be one of the culprits. I'm taking PPIs, they improved breathing symptoms a little.
My main issue is that I cannot take a full, satisfactory breath very often. Only once in a while. Whether I'm active or at rest doesn't change symptoms much but sometimes they get worse if I exercise. Some days are better overall, some are worse. When I read your post, it seemed written by me 🙂
I'll try the Buteyko breathing, never tried before. Thanks again for your help. I'll let you know if I notice any improvements!
