Does warm compression on eyes help make floaters less noticeable?

Great question I would love to find out mine are getting worse . I scared my wife and son thinking there was a deer standing by the road luckily it was a field across from our house and we were about to turn in our drive. I also read dehydration makes them worse. I struggle at times getting enough fluids in me.

My Optician sent to a Vitreal Eye Specialist thinking that I had a torn retina. It looked like a river of "logs" floating through my eyes! Turns out I didn't but whatever they did which was a total of about 30+ drops in my eyes and several stages of testing, made them go away. I have an annual check up once a year now (for a total of 4 years) and the drops and test are less but more than a normal eye checkup. I have recently noticed that a have one tiny floater but am soon due for a regular eye exam so I'll let you know what I find out! I don't think a warm compression is going to work..but you could I can't see how it would hurt?? Good Luck!!

I have a floater that moves as if a spider on a sting, moves when I shake
my head, but stays in the same area. I had, like a thin curtain for a time, but
it seems to have past lately. This is about 18 months now.

I was told my other eye has WMD, but it seems to improve in the 3 months, I have
an appointment next week. I did not take the shots I was scheduled for since each month
it improved.

My ophthalmologist said there is no external treatment that will significantly help with floaters as they are in the eye’s interior. He said that there are a couple of surgical procedures that can be done, but each has its own risks. One uses a laser to disrupt the floaters and the other removes the vitreous fluid. In my case, I have a history of multiple retinal detachments and unstable retina, so I am not a candidate for either.

Has your ophthamologist recommended any treatment to help with the floaters?

My floaters (PVD's) worsened after cataract surgery. My optometrist does not recommend the laser surgery in the vitreous to remove them.

Personally for me, the eye heat packs only worked to help dry eyes.

The floaters are very annoying I know. I have 20/20 vision after cataract surgery, BUT, the floaters make it very hard to focus.

I am so sorry you have these. After a while, my brain has adjusted to them and I do not notice them as much. Praying for you.
