As far as I know anxiety/depression does not directly cause tinnitus. I’ve done a lot of research and have talked to doctors about it. I have anxiety/depression and also have tinnitus. Sometimes tinnitus just happens and doctors don’t know why. Like in my case. Some medications and illnesses can cause tinnitus. Also being around loud noises over extended periods of time can also cause tinnitus. I would see an audiologist and an ENT and see what they say about your tinnitus
