Has anyone ever tried stem cell activators for osteoporosis?

Posted by mmcdimarco3 @mmcdimarco3, Apr 18, 2023

I am very concerned about going on osteoporosis medicine. My mother, her mother, my grandmother both had renal failure. They were both diabetic but I'm not diabetic. I didn't realize until recently that renal failure has a strong genetic component. My doctors don't seem concerned but I am especially since by blood work in January showed high level of phorsus. I've had several compression fractures. Still trying to find an alternative to prescription drugs.

I bought the unit from the American distributor. Cost is $3200. Shipping $98. No sale tax for non residents of Florida. 2 years warranty. They can service the unit in case of malfunction. I ordered it on 4/10/2023 and I’m still waiting for delivery. I was told it can take up to 4 weeks.

The Marodyne cost from its US distributor is $3,200. Is it cheaper going thru the German company itself?

Unfortunately for some reason it is more expensive to buy from the BTT Health. They charged me 4200 doll. May be they bought affiliation with the US company. May be it is taxes for sending from one to another European country. However, I do not know how much they would charge in your case.

5/10/2023 the American distributor shipped the Marodyne unit via FedEx to me. Estimated date of delivery is 5/16/2023. It takes about 5 weeks because I ordered it on 4/10/2023.

I am just today reading a post you wrote a year ago about considering the Bone Coach. I have severe osteoporosis and am being told to go on Tymlos, and like you I am first seeking alternatives. Did you enlist the services of anyone offering bone strengthening programs? Wondered if you like it? I am about to do my own weight training program with weighted vest as I am feeling like what more could they offer than that. I keep reading about Algae-Cal but haven't tried it. Thank you for any thoughts you have about this journey.

I've been on Algae cal plus and Strontium for 3 or 4 years. As of a year ago I've reduced alge cal by half and stopped taking Strontium. I've also reduced my collegen by half and am working with a homeopath. I have to very cautious about strength training because of the multiple compression fractures but know that should be a priority. Good luck to you. Let us know if you find a regiment that is effective.

Also my dexiscan has improved on algae cal but I have continued to get compression fractures. I stay on it because of the combination of calcium, k2 and other minerals in this product.

I’ve read the posts here this morning about Algae Cal and their complement of Strontium Boost. I will tell you the I took these products for a good hand full of years. My DEXA did improve by 6%. Terrific right- NOT SO!! Though my readings were still in osteoporosis range in my spine the drs conclusion was - meds not indicated at this time. The next summer standing up from a couch in an inappropriate way, that at the time I wasn’t aware of by using forward flexion,I suffered a L1 fracture. I continued on these supplements for a few months after . Because of my new situation of a fractured spine I really started drilling down in my research and understanding. Strontium is heavier than Calcium and takes the place in your bones making your DEXA result look better. I have since stopped Strontium and am planning to stop Algae Cal soon by using other supplements to provide the things I want and need. Though the idea of the Calcium from algae sounds wonderful I have read from a very good course that actually Calcium Citrate is the better
choise. Good luck on your path as we all learn!!!!

@mmcdimarco3 I don't know a thing about this - had never heard of it until your question, but I did a google search and found this among many other articles. I don't know what is legit and what is not as it relates to OP.

@babs10 - Wow that link is very interesting !!!!! Thanks for sharing it!!!!

Glad the actual topic of the heading topic was discussed!!! We all meander a bit, as even I did placing my own situation to talk about Algae Cal but felt I should after the post I read here which was not at all related to the stem cell idea!!!🥴 I personally don’t know how to help remedy this.
