@windyshores Do you know anything more about being able to wait 2-3 months after Evenity? Is that the length of time before one would start losing bone again after Evenity? I had just assumed you needed to start the next med one month after the last Evenity shot. I mean it would be great to know that you have a bit of time afterwards before plunging into the next med. Logically you wouldn't get a DXA scan to see your Evenity results until a month after your last shot. So already a month would have past and depending on the results of the DXA you might want some time to think and research your next step.

Hi. I had Gastric Bypass and I have Gerd. I had 1 Prolia shot but NO MORE. Too many side effects. I will be seeing a Rheumatologist to take me off Prolia.( Next shot due in Aug) I need a relay med and Reclast IV is 1 of them. But I’m afraid of that too. I’m going to ask if I can get mine in smaller doses. I didn’t know you can. TY!

@awfultruth I read that Evenity lasts in the body (or its action) for 65 days. I was surprised when my doc said "there is no hurry in doing Reclast after Evenity because the mineralization from Evenity takes time." I asked about 3 months and he said that would be okay but my CTX is very low so that might be a factor too. I really need a break after 5 years cancer meds, 2 years Tymlos and now Evenity and feel like I need to heal a little! I definitely had heard, previously- and read in "Great Nones"- that Reclast should be done one month after the last Evenity. I honestly feel they don't know or else the info is changing with more use of this med.

awfultruth,
At my recent appointment with rheumatologist, he said,
“Evenity injections #12 in May. Reclast in June.”
It’s scheduled and that’s the plan.
