Windyshores, this is a thread titled, "What helps improve osteoporosis without medication" . I'm not sure why you feel the need to call Lani's work into question. If you want to listen to her most recent seminars, and join her Masterclass in April, that will cost you $1000. You might consider starting with her book for a fraction of the price. As someone who has actually stopped my bone loss and improved my density scores over the last 5 years, I wonder if you might let me have my voice. If you ask Lani if BMD can be improved without medication, her answer is, and I am quoting here, "yes, no, and maybe." SO maybe consider that it is possible.

@mlwh I have taken masterclasses with Lani Simpson and read her book years ago. Keith McCormick, author of "A Whole Body Approach to Osteoporosis" and "Great Bones" also took medications (Forteo and alendronate). This does not take away from the work of either of them, but it might be helpful for some to know. I am curious if there is another expert that you know of who did not end up on medications. I am sorry to offend you and understand where you are coming from.

I have often posted about doctors overmedicating osteopenia or even early osteoporosis. It is wonderful that you have stopped your bone loss naturally. Others can benefit from your suggestions.

For more severe osteoporosis unfortunately there are no magic answers, but I think this thread is more for those who are not yet in a dire situation. I have 7 spinal fractures as a result of cancer meds.
