Coughing a lot after lung cancer treatment. Don't know why

Posted by Donna @stimey60, Mar 16 11:26am

I have lung cancer stage 3A . Been through the chemo and had surgery.
It's been about 5 months now. I never coughed before , yes I was a smoker for 52 years.
But I find myself coughing alot, well some days nothing other days all day.
I don't understand why
Has anyone else had this?

Yes and your right she has been a great help. You say oncologist and pulmonologist, I have not even talked with a pulmonologist! I have begun to lose faith in my clinic and thinking about getting treatment else where

@stimey60, I do have pulmonology on my team, as they have done multiple biopsies for me. I don’t have a surgeon, because I haven’t had surgery. It just comes down to what we’ve needed throughout the treatment process.

Well I guess I met one in the beginning my husband tells me I did not remember have not seen them since. I think I need to figure out what I want and either find new providers or stay with ones I have.
Thanks again

These were prescribed by the Pulmonologist as the resolution for his coughing.

Tagrisso by AstraZenica. It pinpoints lung cancer cells. It's very expensive, sometimes $10,000 a box of 30.
