More severe colds after Covid?

I know this is an old discussion, but I just got my first cold following a diagnosis of Long Covid, and while I don’t necessarily think I’m having an abnormally dramatic immune response, I definitely feel terrible. All of my efforts to eat well and stay hydrated are failing today because all I can do is sleep. It’s frustrating, and it heightens all of the frustration and sadness around watching my pre-Covid life slip away from me. Some days are okay, some days are bad. Today is bad.

I've caught a cold and norovirus (gifts from hubby) since catching covid last March. The cold took about a week to disappear, and I noticed my LC was better after the cold (maybe my immune system was distracted by an actual invading virus?). I hadn't caught a cold or flu for years because of masking/distance. I hope you recover soon from the cold, sometimes when you haven't had a cold or flu a long time your immune system slaps you around more. These LC and cold/flu waiting games do get depressing.
