Hip replacement
Had left hip done last June and still having leg pain. Taking gabapentin ,Robacet, rarely tramacet, warm and cold packs but improvement is very slow. I walk ok but with a small limp. X-rays show nothing wrong. Anyone else having a slow recovery?

@popolopo May I ask if you are participating in Physical Therapy? I am a very slow healer but it is because my anti inflammatory response system is a little messed up from a tumor in the adrenal gland. I am rehabbing an injury to my right shoulder from an injury over a year ago. Torn pec minor and impingement. Very frustrating at times but I celebrate the small victories.
I have massages every month and go to Aqua exercises two or three times a week, tried Bowen therapy but it was useless.i try to walk every day for about 30 minutes.
How frustrating for you. 🙁
I have been doing physical therapy & manual therapy 3 days a week for 8 months, I had reaction to the cortisone injections so I can not have any more. I am finally seeing results but it is day to day .
I did, and after about two years, they looked at my back. Turns out my
problems were due to lumbar stenosis. Best wishes!
Had right hip replaced June 5, 2024. 71 year old male. Still have some pain in upper groin but slowly going away. Walk 30 minutes a day and do physical therapy every day. Don't heal as fast as when young. It's a slow process, hang in there and do the exercise. It will pay off. It's a major surgery and drs. don't talk about it much. They do what they do to make you better. It takes time and therapy.
Hi, Dawn
Did you have a hip replacement?
