Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?
I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

The only thing that helps for pain is Trazadone, helps nerve! It is also Antidepressant but nothing helps my depression. Can't drive anymore. Trapped.
Wish you the best!
I just read John's reply, the mentor, and I was surprised to see Orthofeet. OMG, I had the lace-up regular kind, but then I ordered the hands-free shoe. So great that I went back and ordered a second pair, different color. Amazing relief. One pair sits beside my bed and when I get up in the morning my feet don't hit the floor, they hit the shoes. It's great and very helpful. I do have to keep my feet and ankles warm at nite - heavy duty long socks. Keeping up with magnesium.
I can totally relate!
I just never thought this would happen to me, my life has changed dramatically.
It’s hard to be optimistic about anything, when walking is the hardest thing you can do.
Excellent question. The first and only pair I wear are sketchers go run sneakers. It has cushion great arch support and is most comfortable. For the longest time I was wearing slippers outside! I could not wear anything that didn’t rub my feet the wrong way. I have gone to expense looking for the right shoe. This is the only thing I wear. The others just don’t offer enough support all the way around. Also, super stretchy socks are easier to put on due to skin sensitivity.
Feel better and good luck in your quest!
Keen sandals are wonderful for my numb feet and lower limbs
I find harder shoes better for walking. Sketchers are too spongey for me
Shoes are an issue. I find I can wear TEVA sandals because they are adjustable over the front of the foot (with straps) and also at the ankle. I normally use orthotics in my shoes, but with the TEVA sandals, I do not need the orthotics. For everyday wear and when it is too cold to wear sandals, I wear Brooksrunning.com shoes. They have a shoe selector which led me to the more cushioned, more substantial version of their many "jogging-type" shoes. Then I looked for one was was almost all black so it looks more like a regular black shoe than a splashy jogging shoe. I've been very satisfied. When I really need to wear something besides a cloth Brooks shoe, I have a pair of Dansko Mary Janes. Again, the strap across the ankle is necessary. I use my orthotics with both the Brooks shoes and the Dansko Mary Janes.
I just bought some Grand Attack brand Barefoot Minimalist Zero Drop shoes with extra-wide toe box from Amazon for $40 and they are HEAVEN for my feet. And my balance seems to be better when I'm wearing them because I can feel the ground/floor much better. There is so much room for my toes to spread out... and they are grateful for the extra room!!
Best to all!
Mike
