Is anyone on a bisphosphonate and bioidentical hormones getting result
Is anyone on a bisphosphonate and bioidentical/compounded hormones at the same time and getting positive results? Googled it and it appears this isn't a bad combo.

There is a new device that was just proved by the FDI. I am including a screenshot of it so you can Google it. I have hope it’s a 30 minute belt but you need a prescription for it. I have a relative that is a spine surgeon and he contacted the rep and I am hopeful to get it, it’s so interesting and I’m praying it might be a good addition
I work out at home:
I do squats (30 lb weight), sit to stand (one leg), lunges, shoulder raises (20lb), chest press (40 lb resistance band), hamstring curl (40 lb -resistance band), deadlift (2x20lb weight), modified push up, dead bug (for core). I also take salsa line dance 2x week and tai chi. I used to take Pilates using the reformer machine but it was cost prohibitive for me (I loved it though!). I struggle with motivation- but I do the workouts once a week. I will aim for twice a week. I will up the weights when 10 reps get easy. ❤️
Also - google FRAX assessment - it calculates your 10 year fracture risk. If you're a 10 year fracture risk is less than 15%, you do not need to go on medication's at this time. I am from Canada, and the Canadian osteoporosis guidelines are pretty thorough and have just been updated based on this. My 10 year fracture risk was 11% and that did not need medication. My doctor prescribed me a bisphosphonate without talking to me about anything. It was all the research I did contacting osteoporosis Canada and calculating my fracture risk which made me decide. I was not a candidate at this time. Also look up the ONERO program in Australia. DR. Beck - her papers indicate that by increasing resistance training with some impact training is very helpful with improving bone density. The goal is heavyweights though. I only have osteopenia in my spine and my hips were -2.8 so very similar to your numbers. I had no previous fracture, and have not been on steroid meds.
Applause to you! Keep up the good work I just got out of Pilates. And yes it is an expense I go to a private trainer twice a week. Your insight is so helpful!
Feel your pain! Despite having a hysterectomy, my endo didn’t give me hormones, doesn’t do labs for osteoporosis, just wants me to take bone drugs based on Dexa and one traumatic fracture. Had I been given hormones, fracture might not have happened. Good luck!
I am so sorry you had to go through that. The doctors only know one way and that’s to prescribe medicine. I have been fighting the endocrinologist for the past 12 years being on this website I become more interested in my past history, and I looked up all the DEXA scans and 10 years ago. My numbers were so similar one was even worse, if I had gone on Prolia they wanted me to I would already be on another medicine because I would’ve exceeded the timeframe. It’s so upsetting. Thank you for your input. I really appreciate the site.
What was your spine? My endo told me never to lift more than ten pounds. Id like to know more about the belt you were talking about. Is it approved for osteoporosis also, or just osteopenia?
It is called Osteoboost. You can google it. It was approved in Feb I believe. It was invented with NASA. It is very interesting.
I emailed them with your questions
Thank you!!!
