Fibromyalgia: I’m suffering from insomnia too. The chronic pain makes it difficult to get comfortable. The fatigue is also a HUGE problem! Most people don’t understand why I can’t plan activities very far ahead…

Victoria, Bless you lady! I totally understand. My birthday was this week. Someone came over Weds., & Thursday to visit. It was wonderful. A severe weather change came today and you guessed it.....pain and migraine. I couldn't even go hear my son play in his Bluegrass Gospel Group tonight. I was so grateful they did send me videos of them playing. I always say when I am invited to anything, "Lord willing, I will be there". Fibromyalgia is so painful, sore, burning, tiring and it also effects a lot of others things such as: dry eyes, daily headaches, brain fog, chronic fatigue, nonrestorative sleep, worsened joint pain, IBS.,etc.., I understand. I do find that hot soaks in epsom salt, voltaren gel and heat packs help me to function. So many meds I cannot tolerate that other people do with Fibro. I only take Flexeril. It's great for restless legs and helps you sleep. I've stopped taking it as often due to that it can cause short term memory loss. I try and stay active and get outside and get some sunshine. Praying for you sweet lady. I'm so sorry you have this. It's a very misunderstood malady because you look fine. God Bless You. **P.S. I also take Magnesium 200 mg daily as it helps you to relax and also I take CALM powder at night. Melatonin also helps you sleep....no more than 5-10 mg MAXIMUM Dose. Melatonin is also good for Long Covid which I have as well.

I also have fibromyalgia, with pain and insomnia. Do you take any medications to help with either?

Yes insomnia goes with fibro. You're right even close family can't understand when I've said I'll come to a ballgame and last minute because a wind came up I have to bow out. Soon it seems no one any longer calls on you. I can't take flexeril or any the FM meds so my rheumatologist put me on a very old treatment of 1000mg of antibiotic every day. That and 4 T3"s a day is all I can take. Last night I was up 6 times so today am too tired to think.

What antibiotic do you take? I've never heard of that as treatment for fibromyalgia. What symptoms has this helped with? Also what are T3's? Thank you.
