Anastrozole...has anyone had an increase in glucose or cholesterol
Since I started taking anastrozole....June 2018....my glucose and cholesterol readings seem to be increasing...enough for me to be concerned as I do not want to be put on any more medicine...especially for these issues. Has anyone had this problem? I always get copies of my test reports so that I will know what is happening and so that I will not be blindsided at a Dr appointment. Most of the complaints about anastrozole have been about physical discomfort...what about changes in blood tests?

My cholesterol went up and stayed up, statins and dietary changes had little to effect on this. I still take a maximum statin and eat the best that I can. I am pretty active (sometimes even more than I want). I have been off the anastrazole for a few years but the menopausal symptoms are all still there.
Like @mdr3 said, I became an old lady overnight and seem to continue aging an accelerated rate. I do not worry overmuch about it, as I am happy to still be here. I am not claiming it is always easy, it is not. I am just saying that I choose to be grateful for my life.
Has the statin helped to lower the cholesterol for any of you?
Hard to tell, as I was on a statin before this (5 mg Crestor daily). I was taking it every other day before that. Once I finished chemo and radiation, I felt well enough to use it every day. I looked ten times better during those treatment days than I do now. Afraid to take any supplements other than Vit. D
Ah geez. This is all so hard sometimes. May I ask why you are afraid of supplements. My doctor has me on several.
My A1c has increased after being on Letrozole for 2 yrs. My cholesterol has stayed in a good range with a statin that I have taken even prior to my lumpectomy.
