Before starting Anastrozole, 3 years ago, at age 62 I had no issues with high cholesterol, glucose or high BP. Within a year my bad cholesterol shot up and my primary wanted to put me on a statin, which I refused. I started taking ezetimibe which is supposed to block the absorption of cholesterol and that appears to be working. My heart work up last year came back clear so I’m pretty happy that I didn’t go down the statin path.
