I found an answer to the pain and burning at night, I hope that it you
Although I do not have celiac disease and I am not diabetic, I found that going on a gluten free diet stopped the burning sensation in my legs at night, but it did not stop the pain. I am now on an anti-inflammatory and gluten free diet and although I still have the peripheral neuropathy, the pain and burning is GONE. It is not easy to make this change but for me it was well worth the effort. Google anti-inflammatory diets and strictly follow it. It will work quickly. Sugar is your enemy, as is wheat, rye and barley, along with many other things. Unless medical science finds a cure for pn, I will have live with it, but changing my diet has STOPPED the pain and burning.

En mí caso,no puedo manejar los movimientos de mis piernas,o mejor dicho los manejo deficiente mente.Y mí equilibrio es muy elemental. Supongo que la falta de movimiento aumenta mí desequilibrio

Hi, I'm C.J. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through so much. I understand what you mean about ED. My best friend has it from diabetes and had to have open heart surgery (now on meds that make it worse). He has neuropathy in his feet and knees and lower back. The dr. Prescribed Gabapentin (Neurontin). It helps if he takes it regularly, not just when then the numbness and pain come on. The is also some called lidocaine patches you might be able to get at the drug store over the counter. Another name for it is Solanpas. They are rectangular sticky patches that you put on the area you are in pain. Leave them on for as long as the directions say and it helps relieve some pain. If you have numbness, it is a good idea to massage the area gently to get more blood circulation so that you don't get gangrene. My grandmother had diabetes and didn't take good care of herself, so she got severe gangrene in both legs and had to have double amputations below the knees. Those surgeries didn't heal well and then she had to have surgeries again above the knees. She loved to drink real cream all the time, which has way too much fat in for a diabetic diet. She developed severe kidney disease and that eventually killed her. She knew for over a year that she was dying and we would talk about it.
I pray you find comfort, help and peace, C.J.
I am 78 and learned my lesson in my early 40s. I went to a psychic medium (hang in for a min.) and he told me: Sara, you are not allergic to wheat, but INTOLERANT. Your body is rejecting it. Most grains will bother you. Stay clear of all grains and this includes rice - according to him. It was hard to give up bread, pasta, etc. By end of the first week I felt better. It's hard to keep on this type of eating, but I do it for stretches at a time. I love bread and pasta, but I love feeling good too. As the old adage goes, you are what you eat. One nice thing, I found spaghetti and fettucine dried noodles in a simple cellophane pkg and it's grown, processed and packaged in Italy. I can eat that. Believe or not, I found it at Pickn'Save. Not the same wheat as here in the States. Sara BTY, I am not diabetic and walk without pain.
I have found the sugar connection. For a friends birthday they got me a gluten free cupcake (I'm celiac). It had lots of frosting and I can assure you the cupcake and frosting tasted fantastic. I rarely eat any pastries or candy and definitely not in that large an amount. Within 4-5 hours I felt my whole body tingling. It took a couple of days for it to calm down. This made me pay attention that I had also been eating 5-6 prunes everyday for bone building. I finally noticed that my feet/toes would start to burn, turn red and tingle in the evening; I took all 5-6 around 3-4 PM. I stopped the prunes and I didn't have any burning/tingles. I never made the connection with sugar /carb intake before but it sure makes a lot of sense.
I've haven't solved the whole problem of sugar since the wrong carbohydrates or too much carbs can have the same effect. Had a good sized apple and some garbanzo beans and had the burning again.
Now I'm in the process of designing a diet that I can live with and reduce the PN.
Also I am not diabetic but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm not pre-diabetic.
I have had PN for several years. At night I put on a salve from Mary Janes Medicinals . It is 4000 mgs of CBD . I also put on magnesium lotion with the salve . It stops the tingling and burning for a few hours so that I can sleep . I wish you the best . Never give up or give in !!
I use Red Light Therapy which I bought from Novaalab has take all pain from Neuropathy in legs an Feet. It's FDA APPROVED
COST ME $224 worth every cent
How old r u, how long did it take to get to the point of no pain . I know every one is different
