Hi
Don't you think as far as menopause goes doctors do a disservice to women there are so many things that are out there to help with symptoms do you know what my GP said to me when he took me off my HRT and I said so what am I supposed to do now and he said suffer. He no longer is my GP I actually reported him to the Ontario medical Physicians Association. That wasn't the only incident.

I’m not sure what to make of it. It’s beyond outrageous. It seems even female gynecologists aren’t equipped to inform women. Why are there no public services announcements? I’ve never seen any pamphlets or documentaries about it. What is taught in med school? I’m fortunate I haven’t suffered with common menopause symptoms, but I could have hidden damage that will present itself at any time. I should have known my options and been able to make that choice. I had to do my own research and find female urologists on you tube to get the information. Ugh…..

I had what I thought was a UTI, but it was vaginal dryness and pelvic floor disorder. I found a female uro-gynecologist who diagnosed this. Finally. She referred me for pelvic floor PT and put me on estrogen cream. This took care of the problem.
