I totally agree with you.
Last week I had an appt with a new endocrinologist, which I had made the appt last summer.
They had me fill out 6 pages of medical info, and come in 20 min before my scheduled appt.
I followed the instructions, came in 15 min before my appt time, and was finally seen 25 min past my appt time.
So I sat for 40 min in the waiting room, before I was seen.
Seems like this is par all over at doctor offices.

and their excuses a so stupid. he/she is backed up with another patient. maybe they wouldn't be if the front desk would stop scheduling two or three people in the same time period. like me. one was at 1pm, mine was 1:10, another one was 1:20. and on and on. IDK anymore. d 🏳️‍🌈

I believe that the staff often over books just in case some patients don't show or cancel. But also some doctors get interested in their last patient's medical issues or a patient might have a lot of questions and a doctor can lose track of time. So this can cause long waits in the waiting room for other patients. Doesn't help especially if you can't sit for a long time because you have had a broken tail bone.
