Anyone had bladder, rectal and uterine prolapse surgery?

Has anyone had surgery for bladder prolapse, rectal prolapse or uterine prolapse, or all of them. How was the outcome, recovery, etc.
Thank you. Louise Harper

@sharnie

I had Colpoclesi surgery in August with excellent results. Stayed overnight in the hospital. Had some discomfort from bladder sling, also some bladder urgency. I would highly recommend this surgery.

Sharnie, how long was it before your bladder urgency subsided, or did it? I had the bladder sling procedure when I had the Colpocleisis 8 wks ago, and am still not feeling in control. Thanks in advance for your reply!

Mine subsided within a few days and when I get an urge now, I can't wait around 😀but it's O.K.

My surgery was 4 weeks ago, and I don't have any urgency. I never did. Feeling lucky! Louise Harper

How long was your recovery?

You all offer so much hope. I’m having a hard time finding a surgeon. Where did you go?

I went to Dr. Gauta at the Naples Bladder Institute. Originally I went to my gynecologist, and didn't like his answers, so did some research. I was told that I should go to a uro-gynecologist. My recovery was 3 days or so. Not much pain. Took Oxycodone the first 2 nights so I could sleep. Took Tylenol ES once during the day. I am so happy I had it done, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Good luck to you. Louise Harper

I have bladder prolapse and am terrified of surgery. Haven’t tried the Pessary ring yet but am not too optimistic about it. Feeling very discouraged

I am very happy that I had the surgery. It has been 8 months, and I haven' t had any problems. I didn't want the pessary. I just wanted it fixed. My bladder and vagina were actually out all the time.
My surgery was outpatient. I was only gone from home for 4 hours and I lived 40 min. away from the surgical center. My doc did it laproscopy. Make sure you find a good uro-gynecologist, and see what your options are. Good luck! Louise Harper

I am away from home until the end of the month and am worried the prolapse will cause damage in some way. It’s hard to enjoy vacation with this. Wondering if I should go home.
