Interested and curious about turkey tail mushrooms

I was diagnosed with breast cancer stage two in June 2022 I went through two surgeries, six months of chemotherapy and five weeks of radiation. They then introduced me to estrogen blockers I started with anastrozole for 4 1/2 months and then couldn’t take it anymore. My joints and bones were so filled with pain and I was incredibly fatigued I’ve been off AI for three months and now they want me to start exemestane 25 mg daily for five years + yes. I’m anxious to start the estrogen blocker again. Anxious is an understatement. I’m petrified because I felt so ill while taking anastrozole. I was just reading about turkey tail mushrooms, but realize you cannot take them if you’re on an estrogen blocker is there anyone who can give me information on turkey tail mushrooms?

Does anyone without cancer take the Turkey tail mushrooms to hopefully avoid getting cancer?

I take a Supplement with various types of mushrooms in it including Monkey Tail. There are numerous health benefits in taking Mushroom supplements. They are not cures . They help Boost immune system . I figured I would state this before the moderator does.

I take a Supplement with various types of mushrooms in it including Monkey Tail. There are numerous health benefits in taking Mushroom supplements. They are not cures . They help Boost immune system . I figured I would state this before the moderator does.

Every time I consider adding a supplement I always run it by the pharmacist that works with the oncology team. They take my type of breast cancer into consideration before giving me an ok. For example, they advised against burdock root and milk thistle for hormone sensitive breast cancer.
It’s a good idea to talk to your care team when you want to add any supplement. Good luck!

I've read that the brand Real Mushrooms is very good and I take Turkey Tail supplement after listening to many - I have never heard its contra with AI's. I started taking it when I began Letrozole which was a year ago. xo
