That is so true. I am 89. No one believes me. I don't look or act my age according to "someone's" definition of how I should look or act. I live by myself and do everything by myself except for a housekeeper who comes in every 3 weeks to do the heavy cleaning. I still am able to drive and can drive myself anywhere I need to go, including freeways. Your mother is spot on.
