Has anyone had the 2023 updated Covid shot?

Posted by lovesgreys @lovesgreys, Oct 18, 2023

Does anyone have experience with the new booster shot? If so, what has been your experience? My intergrative doctor said the booster shot will be hard on my body right now. She also said getting sick would be the same. Her treatments are helping me, and I'm improving. I don't want a shot to set me back, but also don't want Covid, which would also set me back, plus - well, Covid. I'm trying to decide whether or not to get it. I'm up on all of my shots until now. I've had LC for a year. I would love to hear if anyone has gotten the shot, and how it's affected them.

I’ve had all the COVID shots and boosters along with flu and RSV recommended for seniors. No reactions or problems of any type.

I had mine November 2023. Also had the Influenze shot (required at work, yearly at the time)...other arm. I had Covid-19 in 2020 before the vaccine was available so since then I've been vaccinated and boosted 4 times...for a total of 5 times. So having long Covid symptoms, I feel aren't as bad as they could've been but they aren't getting better either. Frustrating.

Our symptoms are so very similar. I received the 5th covid booster 12/27/23. Had one day of headache, feeling tired and felt back to baseline the next day. I also have LC. In the first week of Jan severe fatigue ensued with cog fog, dizziness, fast pulse when standing. Went to my neuro as I also have MS and she felt it could be the usual fatigue that you experience with MS. And that is surely plausible. However being a curious one, I started reading and found there a long lasting post covid booster or "long vax" symptoms which is what you describe and what I too am experiencing. It is also called "post vaccination syndrome." See what you find in your own research and let us know if this is what you are experiencing. There was a patient self report study of 241 people that you may find interesting. For now I listen to my body, rest and pace myself to avoid a crash the next day after activity. Hope this helps.
