How to relieve cold water lasting headache?
Hi there,
Hope you are enjoying your time.
I have submerged my body in a freezing cold jacuzzi for 10-15 mins! I shivered during remaining in water and was not able to speak fluently; I do not know whether it means I experienced Hypothermia for a moment or not. The current concern is that I have a persistent headache in my right half of brain for 7 days or so; I am hesitant to call it a migraine. What do you recommend for immediate relief of this pain?

@labjrbzac Hey, hope you are doing fine or at least better, any news on this topic?
No, I'm still waking up each morning with the headache. It is now going after a little while without medication. I have an MRI booked for late september. I will let you know how it goes. I'm continuing to swim in the ocean. Temperature is 18 degrees celcius, not that that is too cold but at least I don't get a headache after a swim. My doctor agrees with me having an MRI as I had a Pituritary Tumor when I was pregnant with my first child 26 years ago. It was treated with medication and have been fine since, until this ice bath. So MRI here I come! I will certainly keep you posted!
How are you going? What is your daily headache routine? Any symptoms that I can put to my medical team may help both of us.
Hello @labjrbzac
So sorry you are still going through this,
In my case I managed to make it disappear totally. I did twice "Hijama" called wet cupping therapy iirc in English, at some key points like foreheads, back of necks + sides and the back. Also I have made a 6km walk twice + drinking a lot of water and it went away. I encourage you to try a few of those hopefully it will also work for you. My theory is that an artery or a vein in the brain when we poured cold water on it diminished it's size as the normal behaviour but didn't get back to its normal size, so by doing some sports and drinking water it should get it to its normal state
I had a similar problem-- you should look up hydrocephalus. There can be a buildup of fluids in your brain after you took the shower. It happens for different reasons, but i've read that it can happen due to lesions. I had all of the symptoms of it from after taking a cold shower.
What I wish I did immediately after the shower, would be to take vitamin E (tocotrienols) to get the blood flowing, because cold showers rapidly constrict the blood vessels, and prevent and deal with strokes to a degree. I would then use serrepeptase to clear up the vessels, (do your research on it and what it does), and then take Benfotiamine with ALA, OR with Ubiquinol to fight the inflammation and swelling, alongside with diuretics (to remove water from body, mainly if there is a buildup of fluids in the brain). I drank green tea, and that took out a ton of extra liquids from my body, which helped with the swelling.
I did this with much prayer as well. I have had a tremendous recovery over the past month this has happened. Ask if you have any questions.
