Occasional cramps in leg(s) that I get are often seem to be alleviated with stretches of various leg muscles. While brisk walking for about half hr in 24 hrs is a good bet for me I also do a few stretches before going to bed. Even while sitting every now and then it's good to remind that foot has many joints and rotating -- from toes to around ankles -- invent Yours! -- all help. It's the general practice of keeping the whole body limber and strong that seems to have helped me pain and cramp free 80 y.o. self.

I get those too and Rt when they start, I start rub Magnesium Gel on the area and it stops it pronto! It’s a gem! Amazon.
