As I have written here, side effects with Tymlos were minimized by ramping up the dose and even doing 6 or 7 out of 8 "clicks" on the pen. Also side effects, for me, eased up considerably as my body got used to it.
Many tolerate Forteo really well. The thing is, side effects of these two drugs are short (2 hours or so for me) and the medicine doesn't hang around. Reclast stays in the body a really long time.
You may be surprised and do well on Forteo. If not, insurance might cover Tymlos with your doctor documenting a "failure" with Forteo.
