Has anyone heard of Wellen Exercise for Osteoporosis & osteopenia?

Has anyone heard of Wellen? It's an exercise program for osteoporosis and osteopenia. I'm not sure what they do because there is no video to show an example.

Hi @babs10.
It looks like I am wrong about when I started. It was Jan. I am on day 22 & they are still easy. I’ve had arthritis all over my skeleton & these exercises are certainly helping with that. For me, worth the $.

Re: making it harder, if I mark the day as “too easy” Grace writes me & tells me to add long resistance bands to “update profile.” I don’t have any but may get some.

I'm glad it's worthwhile. I paid full price and it's worth it to me although I wish I'd known about sales before I started. Ah well. Thanks for the update.

I hear ya! Hey I can't seem to sign in to Wellen. They haven't called me back yet. Do you sign in via FB or Google or just your email address? For some reason, it's giving me a hard time signing in....

Oh, interesting! I just saw some in TJ Maxx. Not sure how good they are. I was watching this woman Joan Pagano who is an Osteoporosis teacher who uses bands and she gets them from http://www.wod.skai. I'm going to get mine there since she is the "expert". You can get on Amazon.

I guess the reason I don’t have a resistance band is i’m not sure how I would use it to make the Wellen workout tougher. Have you done any of the workouts yet? If so, do you see where to use the band? I can probably ask Grace. I use dumbbells (8lbs) for overhead lift, military press & 5 lbs for the back exercises on the mat. The easy part (for me) is there’s only 1 set of 8 or 10 reps. I do Onero online & another 30 minute weight lifting routine which is much harder so I don’t care too much that Wellen is easy. (Probably just a lazy slug at heart 😉)

HA! Your dumbell weight is pretty much the same for me. Sometimes I use 10lbs. for biceps. I have heard of Onero also. Do they do the same thing all the time or change it up. I say we can just do as much as we can without going crazy. It's important but we also have a life to live too LOL

No I think Onero is even easier but I hope it truly targets the important muscles & im good with starting slow as long as I end up stronger with good balance. The only exercise (so far) with added weight (just a bar) is overhead lift (8 reps, 3 sets). There’s tree pose (I close my eyes & put my arms up), side lunges, jumping side to side, figure 8s w/each foot, heel drops, walking on tiptoes…& a few others. I probably should invest in some new weights. Do you have those sets where you dial or twist the weight in? They look nice but reviews aren’t too good & they’re pricey.

I just started Onero and I think they do the same thing for 3 months and then change levels.
