severe peripheral neuropathy and vitamin B6
Hi,
I suffer from severe peripheral neuropathy and have heard that B6 can have an effect on neuropathy.
I take multivitamin and magnesium supplements, that have over 60mg of B6. The RDI is 1.7mg.
Does anyone have any information or references that B6 would be adverse to my condition.
Thanks.

Hi,
I take bio magnesium for the terrible cramps, which I noticed had B6 in it and multivitamins for general health which also has B6.
This totals over 60mg. It wasn’t until I heard that B6 make cause/impact neuropathy.
I am now researching alternatives. I don’t take B6 by itself.
Thanks.

A small amount over B6 RDA can be damaging. Most Drs have no idea.
Thanks tprift. I will check it out.
Most Drs have no idea about any condition.
Vitamin B12 with injections helps me with pain, haven't heard anything about B6, pro or con.
Thank you to everyone for your information. I have seizures and peripheral neuropathy due to AIDS that is nontreatable due to my resistance to all the classifications of the drugs, I swim, spin, row everyday and endure the pain but its getting worse. Hopefully cutting the vitamin 6 out might help. I take lots of multi vitamins and Eng C packages throughout the day. Thanks to all and keep moving:)

Let me know how taking vitamin B6 helps. I take vitamin B12 injections and it's done wonders for my neuropathy and no impact on my seizures.
How often do you have the B12 injection
