Are you taking Reclast for osteoporosis?

The bone health doctor explained to me that Fosamax seals the bone to prevent further loss but does not build new bone. I had to quit the Fosamax because of severe stomach pain. She then recommended Reclast infusion and I’ve had side effects 5 months now. I will not do that again. I hope that helps with your question.

@jeanniejacobs it is possible to have a low dose Reclast, but more frequently. For instance, 1mg vs 5mg, with IV hydration, slow infusion and tylenol. Then another dose of the patient's choosing, three months later. I have also read and doc confirms, that a 2.5 mg half dose is as effective as the full 5mg.
