Inside upper nose septum/mucosa

Hi I'm worried sick about this and I'm also new to this website.. I've recently went the doctors as I found a very small bump inside nose top inner inside wall doctor told me its not a polly and I had a look with the tourch and the area is red with a white patch.. she's referring me on to the hospital I've googled this and maybe shouldnt of had because now I feel the worst.. but basically the only thing I can find with the white patch is telling me it's cancer of the mucosa I'm worried sick my doctor gave me an gel to put up my nose incase it was a infection but I doubt it is as it's been 4 days with no change unfortunately I can't get a picture

i hope it's not cancer. but are they sure it's not a polyp? i had a whole bunch in my whole nasal cavity. had to be removed by surgery. now i'm on Dupixent 300mg/2L every two weeks. to keep them cleared up. good luck, d

@stephanie11, the internet can be helpful in many ways, but sometimes very unhelpful too. I understand you're worried. It's so easy to fear the worst and our minds often leap directly to fearing a cancer diagnosis. You're right to be concerned and to have gone to see your doctor. Good for you.

I'm also glad to hear that your doctor has referred you to a specialist for further investigation. When is your appointment?

Thanks I'm unsure when it is I guess they will be in contact one day this week maybe or next to arrange an appointment.. I'm really worried as I'm 30 with a 2 year old baby and doing it all solo I'm all that my baby has.. I'm so worried. 😪.. I keep checking it al the time to see any changes with the ointment gel I'm putting it but sadly not that's what's making me think it's more serious as if it was an infection it would of gone the white patch or atleast got better.. I even wondered if the white patch was a scar tissue have I scratched it or something but again reading online says scar tissue is usually red shiny.. and it tends to clear up within 2-3 weeks.. but again I think I've had this many months. So very concerned 😟

Hey the doctor straight away said it's not a polyp, it's very small bump but white area like raised and white patch in the area then red/pink everywhere else, I'm really worried x
