Hi there. I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at age 32. I know it's overwhelming right now, but please know that there is hope and a future for us diagnosed at a young age. I had a giant tumor but was fortunate that chemo destroyed it all and I am now 3 years into remission, enjoying life and watching my little kids grow up. I'm a part of a group called Young Survival Coalition, which is one resource specific to AYA patients (young adults with cancer) and I've met many young women with stage 4 cancer who are living years and even decades with no active evidence of disease. There are new treatments and advancements all the time. I also lead a support group for young adult patients at my local Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin, so I'm happy to send you other resources I've compiled if you'd find that helpful.
