Age related hearing loss or other reasons

Posted by jarlan @jarlan, Jan 31 2:12pm

I am over 75. One of my ears is great (vol 9-10 on TV). The other ear is vol 12-13 on TV). I did not realize this until I recently got my ears flushed for wax removal and started checking things. I am due for a hearing test with an audiologist. Can he/she tell if my apparent loss of hearing in one ear is age related or there are other issues? If it is age related, I may do nothing about this minor (?) loss in hearing. If it is not age related, then I may need to see an ENT specialist. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I have hearing aids, and it's one of the best things I did for myself. When you see how well you can hear with them you really appreciate having them.

Oh, yes, see an audiologist right away.
