@axtc I am reading thru these post and wondered if you every found long term healing/relief? My nightly hives started about 7+ weeks ago. I've seen my internist and an allergist. All bloodwork normal and I don't think it's "alpha girl" syndrome, as I can gone days w/o eating meat and still have the issue. Zyrtec and Pepcid AC help a little at night, but I don't want to take those forever.
To my knowledge i haven't had any viruses recently, unless I was asymptomatic?
I would love to know if anything/anyone was able to help you. I'm considering going to a functional med or naturopath next.

Hives could be a sign of delayed allergic reaction, caused by Alpha Gal. Alpha Gal also called AG for short and is from a tick bite from an infected Lonestar Tick. It takes 4-6 months for AG to develop from the tick bite it's not instantaneous. When you eat mammalian meat you will have a delayed allergic reaction between 2-6 hours later. Hives are an allergy from something and because AG is delayed it' often overlooked and diagnosed incorrectly. You can can have a simple blood test to rule it out but you should absolutely demand it be done, before subjecting yourself to a litany of useless tests. AG is easy to remedy you simply stop eating mammalian meat, it's not that horrible and you will feel amazing again.
