How long did it take you to show improvement on BMD? I am doing a similar program with a trainer.
Are you continuing with the heavy lift program?
I’m thinking it’s a lifetime thing. I have found I really enjoy it.

I continue to lift heavy. Even 12 months post hip replacement. (as a result of cycling accident) I saw a 4.3 % increase in my thoracic spine after 2 years. And osteopenia completely gone after 4 years. Yes I think it is something you need to continue to do. Do no exercise and our bone density will fall. They say it takes at least 8 months, and potentially longer, to show bone density improvement.

Osteostrong isn't HEAVY lifting. It's COMPRESSION. The kind you can only get with HIGH IMPACT which isn't very safe if you're older or already have osteopenia or osteoporosis. I'm going to post a separate reply to the author of this thread's question about MY experience with Osteostrong.
