I am scheduled for a REM scan this week, but I'm in Ontario, Canada. Looking for more information about my osteoporosis, in terms of bone strength as well as bone density. I discovered Dr. Doug Lucas, and that's where I learned about REM. I am hoping that I find out my bone strength is decent, fingers crossed! I think Dr. Doug mentions some locations in the US, but I don't think there were many. I just google it, and found a mobile clinic that travels. I will be travelling 3 hours for my appointment, so hopefully our winter doesn't force me to cancel.

Hello @ajpost, I'm not sure who you booked your REMS with in Ontario but thought I would mention a new Canada wide service I discovered through Advanced Bone Health https://bonescan.ca/. They are just starting up and provide a rotating service every 3 months or so at various ultra sound clinics. I had one a few days ago just a 15 minute drive from where I live in Fraser Valley, BC. I had to fly to Calgary last April for my last scan, so was thrilled. I was very impressed with the thorough professional service and would recommend them. The cost was $175.00 CA and $150.00 if you come with a friend. I was thrilled that after starting BHRT in July and following Keith McCormick's recommendations since December, 2023, my rapid bone loss has stopped. My REMS spine T score was -3 ten months ago and was -2.6 on February 24th with still moderate/low fracture. risk. I was also thrilled to meet a Mayo Connect member at the Clinic who had driven from Oregon after seeing my post about the REMS clinic! I hope to have another DEXA soon with TBS this time. My last DEXA in November 2023 showed -3.5 in spine, a drastic drop from -2.8 in 2019 after Prednisone.
