Podiatrist has diagnosed me with minor neuropathy but my balance is worsening. Can neuropathy cause this. I know that input from the feet can cause balance problems

Voxxlife patches have helped my balance. I have neuropathy caused by chemo for breast cancer.

Ed - Do you have a particular brand that has been successful for you? I LOVE them, and use them frequently, but I replace more often than I'd like. They stop adhering properly. I am thankful for the designs that allow you to see a color (red) when it's not on tight, plus I always know to check that they are firmly intact before I enter the shower in time. I use 2 small bars in my showers for the locations I find most useful. I have replaced 3 in the past year where neither lasted 3 months (2 were same brand/batch, $25 & lasted 1 month each). Before that, the ones I had seemed to last closer to 2 years but I haven't seen ones that look like them. I'd rather not pay more than $30 for a 16"-18" bar, but whatever I spend, I'd like the suction to be more reliable. (trust me, it hasn't been user, my engineer husband couldn't fix them)

Use a bit of vaseline (very light film) on the edges of the suction cup and these bars will adhere much better. DO NOT rely on them for anything more than help with balance control. If you need greater assistance, invest in permanent grab bars.

I don’t have dizziness in the shower (yet). But when I had some surgery years ago, I used a shower bench, and really loved it. I could have just kept using it! But I loaned it to someone, and it never came back. However they are cheap, and I found the idea of sitting ( with a sprayer, easily installed) very relaxing.

Exercising. Wall squats, stomach exercises and very light weight lifting helped me. I don't stumble or lose my balance anymore.
Also use a revitive circulation booster. It flexs feet and calve muscles.
No more calf cramps after using for about 1 week. I use it everyday for 30 mins.

My balance is worse if I close my eyes….like, rinsing in the shower I have to grab the bar. It is also off if I turn quickly. So, I try to keep my eyes open and slow down. 🙁

Then don’t go into a darkened room. You’ll fall down I keep night lights in every room.

Good advice! Oddly enough, I work in a planetarium....so, recently I've had to start either sitting on a stool to make my presentations under the stars, or lean on the equipment while I lecture. 😀

Please go to Voxxlife.com and look at the Liberty Patch or/and the socks. I've been using them both for about 2 years now.It sounds like a marketing scam but it isn't. Recently I hurt my hip badly ( not from a fall) and the patches have helped with the pain as well as my balance. They aren't cheap, and they say a patch lasts for 24 hours. But,I put one on my thigh, date it with a pen on my leg, and it lasts for 48 hours.
They want you to join a team and sell them, (I didn't) but it is very easy to simply order them and they have always been reliable.
The socks on Amazon aren't the same thing.
One of my friends had horrible neuropathic pain in his toes. He put the patch under his toes and it stopped the pain with the first application. That's kind of an unorthodox way to apply them but it worked.
