Can gabapentin cause muscle pain and cramps in arms & legs?
Has anyone ever had the experience of Gabapentin causing severe muscle cramps in arms and legs and muscular pain and feeling of weakness? I know it is supposed to basically do the opposite and help with muscular problems......but this has happened twice to me as soon as I started the gaba and it was very severe,

Gabapentin belongs to a class of drugs called anticonvulsants, so probably not considered a steroid.
Take serotonin workks well cutting pain it is antidepressant also. I can not take puts me to sleep for ever
Cramps are caused from being low of electrolytes you should get some sports drink that says they have electrolytes in them . Myself I buy a tube of tablets called "Nunn” add one tablet to a glass of water it works every time. You can get the Nunn at drugstores or order from Amazon
Gabapentin is not a steroid.
i hope it's not forever. 🤣🤣
It is not a steroid.
Perhaps check w/ the pharmacist.
I agree and am attempting to find something more nay for pain.
I recently and by accident stopped taking Gabapentin, have been on it for 4 years, 600mg twice daily. been off for 2 days and my joint pain has totally stopped but the ghost nerve pain from an auto accident slightly returned. I am now trying to decide if the joint pain is worth the nerve pain abatement. Can Gabapentin cause major joint pain, especially in damaged arthritic joints?
i take 1800 MG of Gabapentin A day. it's not a steroid. but i have found it has reduced my Restless Leg Syndrome, (RLS) immensely. and it ha helped make it more tolerable for my Peripheral Neuropathy. 🏳️🌈
