That's fantastic! Unfortunately mine is still there. I went to a physiatrist on Tuesday and he put me on Meloxicam for inflammation. Says I have arthritis from my osteoporosis and compression fractures. Still waiting to feel relief from the medicine. I go for my 8th injection in a week and a half. On a different topic, what will you do after Evenity? I'm thinking of Reclast but those side effects look a bit worrisome.

I am thinking of Recast or Actonel also know as Risedronate sodium .

I will do Reclast after Evenity. Anxious. Coming up in June.

@nwyatt I am curious how osteoporosis and fractures could cause arthritis. I think of them as separate entities.

Evenity inhibits sclerostin. People with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis have low sclerostin naturally, so low sclerositin is associated with these issues. It is possible therefore that Evenity could cause or exacerbate arthritis of both kinds, though whether that is temporary or permanent has not been determined. One doc told me that 40 % of his Evenity patients have joint pain. It is a new drug but I personally hope that any effects are short term and it seems the pain fades, from various posts on forums.
