I have a question about seizures

I'm tagging @debburrington @irvkay312 @audrapopp @FaceNu on this conversation because they may have some valuable input for you. I'm glad you're going to your doctor about this. @caretothepeople always seems to find just the right resources to help prepare for appointments and questions to ask.

Judi, you mention that you feel lighted headedness and feeling strange, and that this runs in the family. How has this developed in other family members? What diagnosis have they been given and done to manage the symptoms?

Well, I've had seizures and neurological problems since birth 77 years<br />
ago. With my studies and research I have gone over 3 years no seizures and<br />
4 years no migraines.<br />

Suggest First, have neurologist or primary care doctor start with CBC.<br />
Check this, since when you sleep your system slows down; in doing so, less<br />
oxygen flow to brain and organs can take place among other things. Second,<br />
have an Electroencephliagram taken, which can show the electrical operation<br />
of the brain and stability of impulses. If any irregularity may be seen,<br />
seek an MRI of brain, that can show any deficiency in blood--oxygen flow,<br />
past TIA's, or tumor growths not often seen until later.<br />

Great info @irvkay312. What questions would you recommend ask her doctor when she goes for her appointment?

First, I would suggest a complete CBC panel. Second, I would note any feelings before, during, or after incident to doctor. Third, I would ask doctor about his/her thought of an Electreocephliagram. Last, if the EEG proved positive then request an MRI of brain. During discussion before, ig,after(second) I woul insert questions about triggers; things that can initiate a seizure.
