Welcome to Connect, @peppapig. My goodness, with that amount of blood loss it’s no wonder your CBC reflects low hemoglobin and hematocrit levels. You must be exhausted from the stress…not to mention having a period for 3 months! Why does women’s plumbing have to be so complicated, right?!

Your doctor started in the right place by getting blood numbers to check for anything ‘out of the norm’. I’m not sure what the next step would be, but I’m expecting they’ll want to check your uterine area for fibroids or any abnormalities that could cause abnormal bleeding. Your doctor may do this by requesting a CT scan and/or ultrasound of your abdominal/pelvic area.
