Welcome @teatime,
Great first post! What a shock to go from running a 5k two weeks ago to hardly able to take a walk yesterday. I'm tagging @murryone @neeci @sittingscribe1 and @momma78 on this discussion, as they have mentioned that they are taking Carvedilol (Coreg) too. I'd also like to introduce you to @cynaburst @lynnkay1956 @PatMattos @Sensation @ronaldpetrovich @FrancineFafard @lepadelford

May I ask what heart condition you're taking the medication for?

@randypape, whatever you hear from me or any other Mayo Connect member, please contact the lead physician of your medical team with your question about abruptly stopping Carvedilol. Point out what you have read from expert sources and ask them for an explanation. Your presurgical advice may have come from a medical professional other than your personal physician, who needs to be consulted. You might also consider getting a second opinion from another physician.

@randypape some do not have the depth of knowledge you have and would probably be helped if you were to explain exactly what V tach is. I do know, but there are others. many here are news to the world of heart problems.

Hello @randypape,

Did you have the ablation for your ventricular tachycardia? We would love to get an update and hear back from you.

Hello, i had it last Monday. We now will see how successful it was down the road. Im taking it easy this week and have follow up tests scheduled in a few days.

Hi @randypape,

Thanks for the update; we wish you all success. Do let us know if you have any questions or suggestions, too.

Hi @krj1213

I'm sorry that you are not feeling good, and not getting the care you seek. You will notice that I removed your personal email address from this public discussion. Posts to the discussion board are public, and we don't want you getting unwanted spam etc. We recommend sharing personal contact information by private message as it is a more secure option.
Thank you for understanding.

@krj1213, Mayo Clinic advises that people consult with their current care provider before making any changes to their existing medication or treatment plan. I would encourage you to seek a second opinion; if you wish to call Mayo Clinic, the contact information for Minnesota, Arizona and Florida can be found here: http://www.mayoclinic.org/appointments

@predictable, @hopeful33250 do you have any additional suggestions that might help @krj1213?
