Due to nodules, my thryroid was removed 6 years ago, right away I gained 8 pounds. All subsequent blood tests indicate I am within normal ranges with the use of levothyroxine, but I can't seem to lose any weight though I eat healthily and moderately! What will help me at this point to lose and keep the weight off?

I have tried to lose weight for years, but I am addicted to food. I eat when I am not hungry, not for any particular reason other than I LOVE the taste of food. I am highly educated on what to do with diet/exercise, but I fail every time due to my addiction. Is this a program that could help me?

I work for a county doing community health education with a focus on reducing obesity rates. What we've been finding is people aren't particularly motivated to make a change. Is there a strategy we could use at the community level to increase that motivation without doing motivational interviewing for everyone? We've considered using M.I. for stakeholders, but we are unsure if that would be the best route. Any thoughts?
