My goal today is to provide you with the necessary resources to navigate through for mental illness information and general help. I'll be providing educational resources to refer to by the National Institute of Mental Health and Mayo Clinic! Mental illnesses have become very prevalent in todays world. lets start off by going over some statistics by the National Institute of Mental Health "Mental illnesses are common in the United States. Nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness (46.6 million in 2017). Mental illnesses include many different conditions that vary in degree of severity, ranging from mild to moderate to severe." Provided below there will be a link to the National Institute of Mental Health where you can look over how prevalent mental illnesses are today, what a mental illness can be defined as, and the different types of mental illnesses.
