Meet Mayo Clinic's newest Young Volunteer, Kadra Awad! Kadra is a 9th grader at Century High School. She will be serving Mayo Clinic patients and visitors by providing assistance at the Charlton Welcome Desk.
Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: Yes, born and raised in Rochester
Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: Watch movies with my siblings (especially Marvel movies), garden with my grandma
Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: My older sister, a pizza, and root beer
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Babysitting my baby brother for a whole summer, and taking honors classes in school
Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: People get the help they need.
