Meet MCVP's newest volunteer, Ave' Waldo! A former Mayo Clinic Young Volunteer, Ave' has returned to MCVP as part of our college volunteer program. Ave' is a pre-med student at the University of Minnesota and will be volunteering at the Advanced Screening Clinic and the Methodist Hospital Gift Shop.
Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: Yes, and Pine Island
Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: Work at Lululemon, participate in club sports (soccer)
Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: A water filter, a phone with a solar charger, and a blanket
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Graduating first in my class and getting into my dream college (U of M)
Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: Being able to help people from lots of different areas, the diversity here
