Meet Dr. Kristina Rauenhorst, OB/GYN Chair in Southeast Minnesota

Meet Dr. Kristina Rauenhorst! She is the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic Health System in Southeast Minnesota. Dr. Rauenhorst graduated medical school from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She then completed her residency training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. That’s a lot of training! 

Dr. Rauenhorst enjoys "caring for women throughout the spectrum of their lives from adolescence to the reproductive years – having babies – and even into menopause with the transition that goes with that." Dr. Rauenhorst loves prenatal care and deliveries, infertility, and adolescent care. She also performs minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, sterilizations, and complex women's health care. Dr. Rauenhorst prioritizes listening to her patients and working together to find a treatment plan that meets their needs. 

She finds caring for women during their childbearing years through exciting, and sometimes incredibly difficult, times to be such a privilege. She says, "It doesn't get much better than helping with the birth of a child!"  

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Rauenhorst is raising her five children – including a set of twins! She enjoys fishing, gardening, and baking. She primarily sees patients in Faribault, MN but also provides occasional care in Red Wing, Owatonna, and Austin, MN.
