Join us at our third annual Feel the Beat event to get an inside look into what it takes to be a pediatric surgeon. In 2006, Dr. Christopher Moir led a 40 person surgical team to successfully separate 5-month-old conjoined twins, Abygail and Madysen Fitterer.christopher-moir-10881808 Abygail and Madysen were born joined at the chest but, after their operation, they now lead happy and healthy lives.

The Todd and Karen Wanek Family Program for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) is a collaborative network of specialists bonded by the vision of delaying or preventing heart failure for individuals affected by congenital heart defects including HLHS. The specialized team is addressing the various aspects of these defects by using research and clinical strategies ranging from basic science to diagnostic imaging to regenerative therapies.
